“Canyon House” at Rancho Mission Viejo in Southern California opens on September 20! I’ll be there to see my two large paintings, “Mr. Chow” and “Bertha,” hang as permanent fixtures in this beautiful new welcome facility for the residential development, Esencia. Very excited!
Thanks to the efforts of Southern California art rep, Antoinette Sullivan, I will soon have four watercolor nudes included in a group show at the swanky restaurant, “Bistango” in Irvine, California.
Best message an artist could ever receive—EVER! This from Christi, about her commissioned polar bear. “He looks like he has secretly been rolling in aurora dust and now is giving me the serious “What?” look. Like there is no evidence of the color, he tells me all is good— I’m here to look after you — I’m your white knight.”
They got their seahorses! Thanks very much to parents, Ruthlee and Bill, for asking me to paint these watercolors gifts for the kids. Great idea!
I love it when clients tear up when they see their animal portraits. I was happy to deliver “Piper”—a champion Bernese Mountain Dog (now passed) who has quite the legacy of pups…and adoring owners. This was a gift from them to Piper’s owner/breeder. Thanks to Jennifer for putting this together!
“Sammy” with her favorite person, Tamara. I was honored to paint and deliver her portrait just a week before she passed.
Karl and Evelyn got their enormous trees!
I got blogged! Debby Bloom, the artist is featured in a California art blog, TreeHouse. Thanks so much to blogger Natasha Ganes for making this happen. Check out my interview here: http://treehousearts.me/
It was an honor to be included in the ValleyCrest Design Group’s Art Night in Irvine, California. This bunch of landscape architects sure can paint! Thanks to VCDG Principal, Kurt Buxton, for inviting me. Happy too that California art blogger, Tasha Ganes, was there. Perhaps an interview for her blog is on the way?!
Welcome to “Painting and Pinot” at the Ranch! We had a great day painting in the sun. I love to watch people surprise themselves with their own creativity. Thanks to Rancho Mission Viejo and the folks at RanchLife for inviting me to do painting workshops.
From the cold sea to the snowy slopes— look who found a forever home in Girdwood, Alaska! Thanks, Ripley family. This otter looks right at home!
Rancho Mission Viejo announces “Esencia” —a new residential development where TWO Debby Bloom originals (each 4×4 feet) will be featured in “Canyon House,” the place people will gather at the new 3,000-home property near San Juan Capistrano, California. I am honored, and very Excited! More details to come before the September Grand Opening.

The Moss Landing, California, opening was wonderful! Thanks to all my family and friends who showed up to see me and my art work. Thanks also to Kim and Luis Solano for inviting me to show in their gallery. Even my Dad made the scene! At 95+, I was so happy he was able to join us.
The show will be up until mid-December. If you are in Northern California, jump in the car and cruise the coast to Moss Landing. Along with seeing my art, make sure to eat some fabulous food at the Haute Enchilada Cafe, just across the courtyard from the Gallery!
